Eco Engage Events Program to launch Sept. 10
Join the CU Environmental Center in collaboration with HDS Eco-Reps Program as it launches the new Eco-Engage Events Program on Saturday, Sept. 2, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The program's first excursion will take students on a tour of sustainable and local food systems on campus and in Boulder, including CU dining, the Boulder Farmers' Market, Boulder Food Rescue and two local organic farms. The deadline to enroll is Sept. 6.
The program is aimed primarily at first and second year students and features an array of sustainability oriented field trips, both on and of campus, giving students the opportunity to meet and network with local leaders and innovators working in a wide range of areas related to sustainability. Hopefully some of the connections made during the program can lead to ideas for internships, part time jobs and career paths in sustainability.
The free offerings are restricted to CU Boulder students and take advantage of the outstanding local resources available on campus and along the Front Range regarding applied sustainability. Students may participate in any number of events. There are currently five events planned for the fall 2016 semester and five planned for the spring 2017 semester. There are no prerequisites to participate and transportation is provided.
