In May, CU Boulder Today announced the construction of a new building on campus, the Center for Academic Success and Engagement, or CASE building, which will be built atop the Euclid Autopark.

Site staging begins on schedule on Monday, Aug. 1. Construction crews will be on-site to start preliminary work.

Site staging includes:

  • Fencing around the entire construction site 
  • Re-striping of Euclid Avenue 
  • Trailers and equipment placed on site
  • Rerouting of pedestrian and bike paths
  • Closure and reduction of width of some sidewalks around the Euclid Autopark.

Euclid Autopark will remain open at this time and up through student move-in week. Construction begins Aug. 22.

New CASE Building Timeline

July 15: Tree removal is complete

July 18: Bike station and rack relocation is complete

Aug. 1: Site staging begins
Fencing, trailers and equipment go into place.

Aug. 22: Construction begins
Euclid Autopark will remain open at this time, but there will be intermittent parking space closures between Aug. 22 and October.

Oct. 10 - Jan. 13, 2017: Euclid Autopark closure
During this time, campus visitors will be directed to park in Lot 204 across the street from Euclid Autopark. Affected permit holders will receive direct correspondence from Parking and Transportation Services regarding any possible relocations. Once reopened, the top level of the garage will have a slightly different traffic flow which will be well-marked for patrons. The garage is scheduled to be reopened by the start of spring classes on Jan. 17, 2017.
