Campus parking lots closed this Wednesday, Thursday
On Aug. 19 and 20, all campus parking lots will be closed to accommodate Move-in traffic. No current parking permits will be honored on main or East Campus, and pay lots, meters and parking garages will also be closed to regular traffic.
No standard permits (including worksite and vendor permits) will be honored at any campus location. Special parking permits - either Housing Move-in or permits distributed through last week’s special permit application - will need to be displayed to access any campus area.
Work units are encouraged to have discussions about what will work best for their teams during the Move-in days. Some options include:
- Use alternative transportation to get to work, including walking and biking (for Boulder-based faculty and staff) or taking the bus to campus. Visit the Move-in website for detailed options for faculty and staff. Sign up for RTD Rider Alerts to stay up-to-date on traffic and construction impacts for your preferred routes.
- Telecommute. Non-faculty employees whose work is conducive to telecommuting should speak with their supervisor. CU-Boulder’s Office of Information Technology has put together a useful resource guide for working remotely.
- Use accrued leave. Employees who want to use leave should speak with their supervisors.
- Carpool with others. Plan now to ride-share with other employees who live near you.
