Buffs Madness kicks off student loyalty program

The CU basketball seasons will officially kick off Friday night at Buffs Madness after the conclusion of the CU volleyball match against Arizona State.  The volleyball match starts at 7 p.m. and Buffs Madness will go right after.

The Buffs will feed students pizza between the volleyball game and start of Buffs Madness.  Some highlights of the night will include the introduction of the student loyalty program, of which Buffs Madness will be an event that’s counted in the season total.  On top of Buffs Madness and men’s basketball games, all women’s basketball games this year will also count in the total.

Student loyalty prizes are still being finalized, but the grand prize, much like last year, will be a trip with the men’s team to Las Vegas for the 2013 Pac-12 Tournament where the Buffs will attempt to defend their Pac-12 Championship title.

Some other fun events happening at Buffs Madness will be team introductions, scrimmages, contests, training for the C-Unit and much more.  A portion of the evening will be dedicated to getting to know the players and the first run of this year’s Big Heads will debut.

Ralphie will be on hand along with Chip, the cheerleaders and dance team.  One lucky person in attendance will win a trip for two to accompany the men’s team when the Buffs play at Kansas on Dec. 8.

The viral video, CU Men’s Basketball Gangnam Style, will also be shown to those in attendance.
