Sam Collier is a PhD student in Theatre & Performance Studies. Her research focuses on theater about climate change. She holds an MFA in playwriting from the University of Iowa, where she was a Provost's Postgraduate Visiting Writer. Her plays include Silo Tree (2020 Siena Heights University); Daisy Violet the Bitch Beast King (2019 Winner, Urbanite Theater Modern Works Festival); thing with feathers (2019 Women's Theatre Festival); and A Hundred Circling Camps (2018 Goodman Playwrights Unit). She was the 2017-2019 Writing Fellow with the National Writers Series of Traverse City. She has also taught writing for Unity College, Interlochen Center for the Arts, Cornell College, and the Iowa Young Writers Project. She co-hosts the playwriting podcast Beckett's Babies.
