A lighting designer for theatre, dance, and opera, Kate’s design work has been presented in New York City and regionally across the US. Recent credits include: The River Bride; Kinky Boots (Arvada Center for the Arts); Little Women (Theatreworks, CO Springs); Secret Paris Project (University of Denver); Cannibal Galaxy: a love story (Between Two Boroughs); Street Children (Vertigo Theatre Company); and Tiny Beautiful Things (BETC).

In addition to her own designs, Kate has served as an Assistant and Associate designer for productions on- and off-Broadway; national and international operas; and national touring productions. Designers she has assisted include: Japhy Weideman; Howell Binkley; Beverly Emmons; Alan Adelman; Lap Chi Chu; Nicole Pearce; and John Torres.

Kate has served as the Associate Lighting Director for Lincoln Center Festival and Fall for Dance Festival in NYC, working with international companies and designers to bring their work to the New York stage. As a Lighting Supervisor, she has toured with Mark Morris Dance Group, Jessica Lang Dance, and Dance Heginbotham.

Kate received her MFA in Lighting from the University of Tennessee – Knoxville and a BA in Theatre from Wake Forest University. She is a member of United Scenic Artists Local 829 and is proud to call Colorado home.
