Anna's background is rooted in dance but encompasses a range of disciplines and interests such as aerial apparatus work, endurance sports, installation art, and technology integration. Through her work, Anna endeavors to construct containers that enable her to challenge and transcend her own limitations and allow herself to be seen trying and failing, aspiring towards a heightened iteration of herself while preserving the essence of her humanity.
As an educator, Anna adopts a student-centric approach, prioritizing the cultivation of community within the classroom. She empowers her students to embrace risks in their educational journey, fostering a willingness to grapple with failure and vulnerability. Anna firmly believes that dance is an inclusive art form, that collective movement cultivates empathy and resilience.
Anna is currently the Technical Director/Production & Stage Manager of DanceAspen, the Assistant Technical Director for The Conversation Series: Stitching the Geopolitical Quilt to Re-Body Belonging by Helanius J. Wilkins, a Lighting Director at eTown Hall in Boulder, CO, and works as a Lighting Designer in Colorado. Her choreography has been shown throughout the United States, and internationally at the Prague Quadrennial (2023). Anna holds a MFA in Dance and Certificiate in Women and Gender Studies from the University of Colorado Boulder.
