Aikido

 Aikido is the highest form of non-violent self defense where the defender joins forces with their attacker to neutralize attacks without injuring either person. This training integrates mind, body and spirit to create harmony and justice without violence. All abilities welcome, no experience necessary.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu

 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the single most effective martial art you can learn for self-defense. It relies on leverage and joint manipulation to help you defeat a much larger opponent. These classes are taught by Brian Scott, a multi-time world, national and state champion.
Level 1: All levels welcome.
Level 2: Take your skills to the next level in this Level 2 class. The focus will be on building strength, speed and stamina within the skills learned in Level 1. Prerequisite: Experience in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and a successful skills test during the first week of classes.

Muay Thai II

Enshin Karate

Enshin karate enables participants to switch from defense to offense, while utilizing devastating blocks, kicks and punches. This form of martial arts emphasizes flexibility, power and speed.

Eskrima

 Doce Pares Eskrima is a Filipino martial art that focuses on stick fighting. This class will cover single stick, double stick and empty hand techniques, taught through partner drills in a safe and friendly manner.

This class is great for all experience levels and abilities.

Kendo

 Kendo is the Japanese art of fencing and is one of the oldest forms of martial arts in Japan. Kendo's long history and cultural roots embraces not only physical power but a deep mental training and philosophical outlook on life.

Muay Thai Basics

 Muay Thai is a Thai martial art and combat sport that uses punches, elbows, knees and shins to strike. Benefits include improved cardiovascular health, increased flexibility and enhanced mental sharpness. Experience an intense cardio workout while mastering the basic skills of Muay Thai.

Muay Thai Level 2

Go to the next level with your Muay Thai skills in this intermediate and advanced class. Participants will experience conditioning drills, heavy bag work and more to deepen their training and become stronger and faster. The complex movements in this class can improve focus and decision-making skills.

Shotokan Karate

Shotokan Karate is one of the oldest forms of traditional Okinawan/Japanese martial arts still in practice today. This class will present traditional forms and techniques that are accessible to all participants

Self Defense

Learn empowering and effective verbal and physical skills designed to increase personal safety and confidence in a wide range of real-life scenarios, including assault or sexual violence by intimate partners, dates, acquaintances or strangers. This class will include interactive discussions and hands-on practice to increase awareness of potential threats, enhance verbal and physical boundaries and provide techniques for managing fear, anxiety and stress.  No experience necessary.
