Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that is often referred to as a "fight-like dance" and a "dance-like fight". It utilizes kicks, attacks and acrobatic elements alongside music. Classes will include warm-ups, basic attack and defense techniques, acrobatic movements and unscripted games (called roda). Capoeira is great for building strength, flexibility and endurance. All abilities welcome, no experience necessary.
This class is currently only open to CU Boulder students.
Instructor information: Emily Yeh (“Miuda”) is a professor at CU Boulder and has also achieved the rank of ‘professors’ in capoeira, from the United Capoeira Association. She has been doing capoeira for more than 20 years
