Parking a personal vehicle on campus

Consider hourly or daily parking options. Hourly and daily parking occurs in specified lots only and is subject to availability. If you know when you are coming to campus, advanced purchase of daily parking is encouraged.

Hourly parking is available in select lots. Patrons can pay at kiosks or use contactless payment via Parkmobile. Visit the hourly parking website for more information.

Faculty and staff can purchase daily parking via the Online Parking Portal. Discounted daily parking is available for faculty and staff.

There are no refunds on the discounted daily parking if you end up not coming to campus.

Depending on the frequency and consistency of your schedule monthly parking may be your best option.

CU Boulder offers faculty and staff a monthly parking option which is paid via payroll deduction and guarantees patrons a spot in their designated lot (or an alternative lot, in the case of a temporary lot closure.) Visit the faculty/staff parking page to learn more.

Visit our parking page to view a campus map, apply for new parking, or cancel parking. Standard automobile parking is $60/month. Motorcycle parking is $20/month.

Visit our faculty/staff parking page to begin the process. Most departments have parking liaisons. If your department has a parking liaison they will assist you with this process. Not sure who your liaison is? Email parkingpermits@colorado.edu

RTD

We strongly encourage those who have used RTD in the past to verify what routes are available to you by using RTD’s Trip Planner

CU Boulder does not control RTD routes and service offerings, however, CU Boulder officials have been advocating for restoration of service to 2019 levels. Staff and faculty who are impacted by RTD’s service limitations and wish to advocate for change can reach out directly to RTD via their customer contact form or by calling 303-299-6000.

CU Boulder Vanpool

A vanpool is a great option for groups of five to seven people with similar routes and schedules. The monthly fee includes a van and covers all costs, gas, parking, maintenance, insurance, etc. See the vanpool website for details.

Bike

  • CU Boulder’s bike program supports thousands of faculty, staff and students who commute by bike. Visit the Bike website for details.
  • Boulder B-Cycle offers faculty and staff free memberships. Visit the B-Cycle membership website to learn more.

Other

For information on other programs for those commuting to campus via alternative means, including their Guaranteed Ride Home program, visit the Transportation Options website.

Currently, our system of parking does not accommodate a hybrid parking option. To support those who work between campuses, we offer the Marine Street Express, one of several campus-owned routes.

The Marine Street Express is free for all campus, staff and faculty to ride and connects CU Boulder’s East and Main campuses. Visit the campus bus website for more information.
