The 2011 Fiske Guide to Colleges listed CU Boulder as one of only 25 Major Universities Strong in Music. CU-Boulder’s College of Music has appeared on this select list for several years. The Fiske Guide also recognized CU Boulder as Strong in Environmental Studies and a top Major University with Strong Support for Students with Learning Disabilities.
The Fiske Guide to Colleges is prepared by Edward B. Fiske, who served for 17 years as education editor of the New York Times. During that time, he realized that college-bound students and their families needed better information on which to base their educational choices. He wrote The Fiske Guide to Colleges to help them.
