The successful applicant will pursue independent research with significant mentoring opportunities through the international permafrost community, but also will be encouraged to take advantage of opportunities in teaching and research that INSTAAR and the research group can offer. Research interests can include field-based observations in Alaska or western Canada or modeling using existing data. See more and apply on the CU Jobs site.
Post Award Specialist
The Post Award Specialist will work within the INSTAAR Sponsored Project Administration team and provide support and assistance to Principal Investigators (PIs) and research teams, and serve as a backup for the HR Liaison. With mentorship from the Finance and Accounting Program Manager, the Specialist performs functions vital to research administration for individual PI’s and INSTAAR as a Research Institute. This posting is to fill one position, which is available as a Post Award Specialist or Senior Post Award Specialist based on experience. See more and apply on the CU Jobs site.
If you're a CU student interested in working in a lab, please contact the Professor or Researcher who manages the labs you might like to join. Some positions are also listed on the CU student jobs website (CU IdentiKey required), or posted in departments. But starting a conversation with a professor who is an INSTAAR researcher remains a good way to find an INSTAAR student job, especially if it's a research assistantship you're after.
