Tufted textiles that storymap San Lazaro families, created by Sophie Weston Chien

 

Making homelands: Tufting San Lazaro lifeways

Nov 3rd to Dec 6th, SEEC hallway. ENVD postdoc Sophie Weston Chien has a new art installation made in collaboration with the residents of the San Lazaro trailer park in Boulder. Each piece tells the story of a different family's migration journey, and incorporates quantitative data on climate and ecological change. See more about the exhibit.

Arctic Workshop 2026

Share your latest high-latitude environmental research with a broad, friendly community of international scientists working in both the Arctic and Antarctic. The next workshop, the 53rd, will be held March 18-21, 2026 at SUNY-Buffalo.
