Research Interests:

I am interested in understanding how genetic and non-genetic risk factors are able to contribute to disease. My current project focuses on understanding etiologic heterogeneity in psychiatric disorders - the idea that similar-looking symptoms might be produced by different risk factors and biological processes. Examining this heterogeneity can lead to a better understanding of the biological pathways involved in the disease, and in the future may also lead to new treatments.
