AcademicLiveCare telehealth services

Your well-being matters.

AcademicLiveCare (ALC) is a free telehealth platform that allows students, staff and faculty to schedule and attend mental health and medical appointments from home, the office or wherever you are on the go.

This service is free regardless of your health insurance plan.

AcademicLiveCare is not crisis or emergency care. 

If you need crisis support, please call the Real Help Hotline at 833-533-2428 or text “TALK” to 38255 or contact Counseling and Psychiatric Services (students only).

ALC is free to CU Boulder students, staff and faculty. Follow these instructions to register!

Student registration

  1. Visit cub.myahpcare.com/telehealth
  2. Click ‘Sign Up’
  3. Use your IdentiKey email address to create your account
  4. Complete your profile
  5. When prompted to enter a ‘Service Key’, type ALC and press ‘Continue’

Note: If you do not enter the service key, you will get an error message. If you see this message, click ‘Add a Service Key’ and enter the coupon code ALCCUB to zero out charges. 

You can also download the AcademicLiveCare app to create an account on your mobile phone. Simply follow the instructions above in the app.

Staff and faculty registration

  1. Visit cubemployees.myahpcare.com/telehealth
  2. Click ‘Sign Up’
  3. Use your IdentiKey email address to create your account
  4. Complete your profile
  5. When prompted to enter a ‘Service Key’, type ALC and press ‘Continue’

What can I use AcademicLiveCare for?

AcademicLiveCare is available as a supplemental platform to your normal health insurance plan. Here are some of the ways you can use AcademicLiveCare.

AcademicLiveCare is not intended to replace on-campus services for students, staff or faculty.

Students, staff and faculty are encouraged to try AcademicLiveCare alongside the following on-campus services.

 

On-campus support for students

 

Counseling and Psychiatric Services (CAPS) provides confidential mental health and psychiatric services for students on campus and virtually.

The Office of Victim Assistance (OVA) provides support, advocacy and short-term counseling for CU community members who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic or disturbing event.

The Raimy Clinic on campus has a team of psychology graduate students who can provide supervised counseling sessions to undergrad and graduate students for $15 per session.

Peer Wellness Coaching is a free service that allows students to meet with a trained peer to discuss and create goals related to stress management, time management, relationships, academics, self-care and more.

Medical Services provides in person and virtual healthcare support for students, including primary care, illness prevention and treatment, sexual and reproductive health, sports medicine and more.

The Collegiate Recovery Community (CUCRC) provides support and connection for students, faculty and staff in recovery or seeking recovery from a wide range of behaviors. They offer weekly meetings, peer-to-peer support, substance-free events and community referrals.

The Staff and Faculty Assistance Program (FSAP) provides free mental health services for all CU Boulder staff and faculty, including brief individual or couples counseling, community referrals, workshops and support groups.
