CU Boulder Undergraduates—

  • Have you participated in a research, scholarly or creative project with a CU Boulder faculty member?
  • Do you want to share your experience and/or outcomes in an exciting new format at one of the biggest events on campus?

Apply to present in the first-ever “Sidewalk Symposium” on Admitted Student Day!

The Sidewalk Symposium challenges you to re-think the traditional research poster and presentation by inviting you to create “posters” with chalk on the campus sidewalks and chat about your work with people as they walk by.

Students selected to present will be assigned to a high-traffic location near the Student Recreation Center from Noon to 3:00 pm on April 7 and should plan to stay for the duration.

Presenters will be supplied with colorful chalk and asked to create “posters” on the sidewalk to spark discussions with those passing by.  Your audience will be the admitted students and families exploring campus.

Undergraduates of ALL majors, classifications and experience-levels are encouraged to submit a short description of their work using the form linked below to be considered for one of the limited spots available.

The deadline to submit your project for the Sidewalk Symposium is Friday, February 23, 2018 (11:59 pm).

Direct questions to UROP@colorado.edu.

The Sidewalk Symposium is a collaborative effort of the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP), Admissions, Strategic Relations and the Center for Student Involvement (CSI).
