Engineering Staff Council will be organizing a group of volunteers from CU Engineering to help with the Volunteer Resource Center’s mobile food pantry at the UMC. If you’d like to join some colleagues in volunteering, please register on the VRC’s GivePulse webpage. We’ll meet up in the Engineering Center before the event – watch for more details to come.

CEAS HR team is accepting gently used coats for Coats for Colorado and food items for the Buff Pantry on campus. Please consider donating non-perishable canned goods, spices, or condiments. Items must be unopened and in original packaging with labels; packaging is in good condition (no dents, bulging, or rust); donated no more than 3 months past use-by date.

Stop by the dean’s office to drop off your donation by Friday, Nov. 18. For more information or if you have any questions, please contact Alisha Stewart.

The Office of Academic and Learning Innovation (ALI) is the campus’ central facilitator for at-scale for-credit and non-credit programs and courses. ALI collaborates with faculty and staff to grow CU Boulder into the vanguard of online education, while also inspiring the campus to rethink on-campus and hybrid learning experiences. Randall Fullington, Scott Millspaugh, and Jenny Lane will conclude the semester’s seminars by partnering with us to think about the future of higher education at CU Boulder.

With a recent change to CU Boulder’s Parental Leave Policy, more employee groups will soon have access to these benefits immediately upon their start date.

LGTBQ+ History Month encourages honesty and openness about being LGBTQ+ and to develop a sense of belonging and empowerment for the community. Learn what a stay interview is, why managers should be conducting them regularly and you’ll practice how to conduct an interview. Participants will leave with an action plan of how, when they are going to follow up with their employees, and generate ideas for putting feedback into action.

This symposium will explore the significance of food for Jewish religious, cultural, national, and political identities, focusing on the United States and Israel/Palestine.

Mental Wellness Matters: This hotline helps all CU employees find support, resources for mental health issues. The University of Colorado is offering all employees a new option for quick access to mental health services – The Real Help Hotline at (833) 533-CHAT (2428).
