Radiation Safety Training is required for all personnel who work with radioactive material or radiation producing machines. Radiation Safety Training is available on https://colorado.scishield.com/ . A CU IdentiKey is required to access SciShield materials. If you do not have an IdentiKey, please contact us by emailing radsafety@colorado.edu or calling (303) 492-6523. Training is required every 3 years for unsealed and sealed source  users, and annually for x-ray machine users.

Note: Trainings are specific to type of radiation used, and personnel must complete all training that apply to their radiation use. For example: if a user is working with an Electron Capture Device (sealed source), and a DXA machine (X-ray), that user is required to take Radiation Safety Training for Sealed Source Users and Radiation Safety Training for X-ray Machine Users.
