Air Quality
Many activities on campus can cause air pollution emissions of Nitrogen Oxides, Volatile Organic Compounds, Sulfur Dioxides, Ozone, Particulate Matter, and other pollutants. Air pollution can come from combustion devices, from chemical reactions, spraying of solid, liquid, or gaseous material, evaporation of solvents, and from construction activities. EH&S maintains an inventory of all air emission sources by campus location. EH&S must be notified prior to when a source of air pollution is installed, modified, or removed.
