Project Review and Feasibility

EH&S reviews all projects, which go through the Planning, Design and Construction Project Feasibility study. During the review process, we provide comments about asbestos materials, chemical use and chemical inventory, laboratory safety requirements, environmental emissions, and other building and human health issues of the project. Certain spaces on campus require special consideration based on the activities that will be there.

Just a few of the things we want to know about:

  Special exhaust systems
  Laser cutters and 3D printers
  Ductless fume hoods
  Specialty hoods (e.g. Perchloric, HF)
  Dewatering systems and permits
  Biosafety cabinets
  Fume hoods
  Grease traps
