2023 School of Education Graduation Ceremony & Reception

Thursday, May 11, 2023 at 7:30 p.m. at Macky Auditorium

Graduates should arrive no later than 7 p.m. to check in
Doors will open at 7 p.m. for guests to find seats inside Macky Auditorium

All education graduates planning to take part in the School of Education Graduation Ceremony should register to attend. Please register to participate in the School of Education Graduation Ceremony by April 17. Tickets for guests are not required.

Summer graduates are invited to participate in our ceremony the semester prior to or immediately following graduation from CU Boulder.

Regalia

Academic regalia — cap, gown, tam, tassel, etc. — is required for attending graduates.

For master's and doctoral students, the deadline to order your regalia online is Wednesday, April 5 at 11:59 p.m. MT.
Undergraduate students purchase regalia from the CU Book Store either in-store or online.

Nominate a student speaker for graduation

Our School of Education Graduation Ceremony is a special time to celebrate our students. Each year, we invite student speakers to tell their stories at the ceremony. Have a story to tell, or want to nominate a fellow classmate to speak? Please submit your nominations by March 24, and speakers will be selected and notified in April.

We want to help celebrate YOU!

We would love to feature our graduates in a fun celebration video that showcases your photos and quotes. If you'd like to participate, please fill out this form by April 17.

Accomodations

If you or any of your guests require special accommodations due to a disability, please email sara.mcdonald@colorado.edu or call 303-492-3351 at least two weeks prior to graduation so arrangements can be made.

CU Boulder Commencement

CU Boulder Commencement will be held on Thursday, May 11 at 8:30 a.m. MT. For more information about the commencement ceremonies and festivities for the Boulder campus, please visit the Commencement website.

To be listed in CU Boulder’s commencement program, you must submit a graduation application by April 1.
