The CU Boulder School of Education is a nationally recognized leader in education research, consistently ranking among the top programs in the country. Our faculty and students work in and learn from schools and communities to address today’s complex public challenges. Combining the expertise of our faculty, communities and students, we integrate research, teaching and community engagement. 

The CU Boulder School of Education places in the top 9th percentilein federal grant dollars per faculty member across 220 institutions and No. 1 in honorific awards in curriculum and instruction among 111 peer institutions, according to Academic Analytics. Over the past decade, our faculty have maintained a position in the 10th percentile for scholarly productivity, reflecting a sustained commitment to high‑impact research.

Our distinguished faculty are respected researchers and dedicated teachers with strong partnerships with schools, students and community organizations. CU Boulder faculty are internationally recognized for expertise in research-practice partnerships; community-engaged research; studies of bilingualism and biliteracy; policy; and assessment. In addition, we maintain clusters of excellence in STEM education; teacher education and teacher learning; literacy studies; and learning sciences and human development. Our research strengths advance greater equity and justice in education and reflect deep commitments to social and educational transformation.
