Stephen earned his BA in English Literature and Educational Studies from Denison University in Granville, Ohio. After graduating in 2014, he moved to nearby Columbus, Ohio and spent the next few years in a variety of roles within the field of education. Stephen was a City Year Corps Member, a Teaching Fellow at a charter school, and then helped run an after-school program at another charter school. He eventually decided that he missed challenging himself academically, and so he and his wife made the big move to Colorado so that he could earn his MA in English Literature from CU Boulder. Stephen started with A&S AAC as an Academic Coaching intern during the second year of his MA program, and after graduating in 2020, he stayed on in temporary roles before transitioning to the Administrative Coordinator position. He's excited to continue being a part of A&S AAC’s mission to support student success!
In his free time, Stephen enjoys taking road trips, hiking, and camping with his wife, Miaja, as well as running and reading (mostly fantasy and sci-fi).
