Maggie Chapman
First Year Advisor

Office Location: Woodbury 109, UCB 290

Maggie Chapman is a graduate of Kansas State University, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts- Painting degree and a Master of Science in Counseling and College Student Development. Most recently, she worked in a private university in Denver for 4 years as a member of the Career Services staff, as a Career Counselor. As an undergraduate and graduate student at K-State she was involved with Orientation, Admissions, Union Program Council and Greek Life. Her dedication to students, compassion for the transition from high school to college and desire to be a resource for undergraduates are just some of the reasons she is excited to work with first-year students.  She has found that each student is in need of something different, especially when determining a major, classes to take and/or how to get involved on campus. Brainstorming and creativity are two of her unique skills and when paired with her education give her a wealth of knowledge used to relate to students on several different levels.

When she’s not at work, Maggie enjoys time with family and skiing in the mountains, keeping up with her two toddlers, family, dog Moose and cheering on both the Buffs and Wildcats.  One of Maggie’s favorites things is trying the best places to eat in Arvada, Golden, Denver and Boulder, as well as baking cakes and cupcakes.
