she, her, hers

Lacy is a native Western Pennsylvanian who received a Bachelors in Sociology and English Literature, a Masters in English Literature, and a graduate certificate in Women’s & Gender Studies at Duquesne University. She started her career teaching First-Year Composition at Duquesne and later Modern & Contemporary Literature and Women’s Literature at CU Boulder. After a series of adventures in the non-profit world, higher education administration, and small business ownership, she earned a Master of Social Work at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her capstone project was the development and facilitation of a virtual creative writing group for LGBTQ+ older adults in Boulder County, in which the group used storytelling practices to build community. After graduation, she pursued a career working with her favorite population: college students.

In her free time, Lacy reads literary horror novels, practices needlecrafts, and explores the magical mountains around Boulder with her husband Chris and their nature-loving child Emmanuel.
