The Welcome Center is staffed primarily by friendly and knowledgeable Student Success Peers who want to help. They are trained to address a wide variety of questions--or at least get you pointed in the right direction!

How can Student Success Peers help?

Student Success Peers are current CU Boulder undergraduate students that support the A&S Welcome Center. They are an informational resource with basic knowledge about:

  • Key academic dates and deadlines and their implications
  • Campus or A&S-specific resources and events
  • Campus or A&S-specific offices/departments and what they are responsible for
  • Campus or A&S-specific policies, petitions, processes

They can also provide basic assistance with:

  • Troubleshooting campus technology such as Buff Portal Advising or Class Search
  • Academic advising and coaching appointment scheduling
  • Appropriately escalating more complex questions/concerns

The A&S Welcome Center serves as a quiet study space and the check-in location for in-person appointments and drop-in hours offered by the following A&S student services housed in Woodbury:

*Confirm the location of your Arts & Humanities, Integrative Physiology, or Psychology advisor in their bio on the Our Team page.

The Office of Pre-Health Advising also hosts workshops, open houses, and other events throughout the year. Visit the OPHA Events Calendar to explore upcoming opportunities and read the OPHA weekly newsletter for additional updates and resources.

All academic advising, coaching, and pre-health advising appointments are scheduled in advance. Academic advising and the Office of Pre-Health Advising also offer designated drop-in hours, which can be found in Buff Portal AdvisingOutside of advertised drop-in hours, same-day or "on demand" academic advising, coaching, or pre-health advising should not be assumed to be available.

Please note: Student Success Peers provide general support and wayfinding. Our wonderful Student Success Peers are not academic advisors, coaches, or pre-health advisors. Students should not visit the Welcome Center with specific/in-depth advising, coaching, or pre-health questions. Instead, they should connect directly with their appropriate academic advisor, coach, or the Office of Pre-Health Advising to get the personalized help they need. Need help making that connection? Student Success Peers can definitely assist!

We hope to see you in the A&S Student Success Welcome Center!
