I have truly relished the opportunity to work and write for the CU Art Museum Collection Committee last year. Through this work, I have learned the intricacies of acquisitioning, deaccessioning, preserving and cataloging works of art in a professional museum environment. It has been a dream come true to stare through a magnifying glass like a detective, studying and writing about the diverse works of art in the CU Art Museum. The experience has enriched my understanding of the historic and economic role of art, and versed me well in the skills necessary to be a custodian, critic and curator of fine art.
