This year the Applied Math Department had 27 BS, 10 BS/MS, 12 MS, and 7 PhD students graduate. Many graduates have found work in the industry as data scientists or researchers (for laboratories including the Los Alamos National Laboratory and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory at NASA). Most of the department’s PhD graduates have found post-doctoral positions, and many BS, MS, and BS/MS graduates have been accepted into MS and PhD programs to further their degrees.
During the graduation ceremony, many of the Applied Math graduates thanked their families, friends, and influential department advisors and professors for their continuous support, guidance, and encouragement.
