Katherine Jacob Lamont Scholarship

The Katherine Jacob Lamont Scholarship is awarded to students in the College of Arts and Sciences who meet the following criteria: (1) current undergraduate or graduate enrolled full-time in the College of Arts and Sciences, and (2) majoring in the humanities. Students are nominated for this award by their department, and departments submit nominations in the spring semester for awards to be disbursed the following academic year. Apart from the criteria listed above, the selection of students is determined at the departmental level. Each year, two undergraduate majors, one in Chinese and one in Japanese, are awarded the Katherine J. Lamont Scholarship in recognition of outstanding academic performance.
