A MOOC is a massive open online course. This symposium will discuss student learning in this context in a panel with four CU faculty members teaching a MOOC in the Fall 2013 semester.
In this symposia, the faculty presenters will illustrate some of the following items: how to approach grading, connecting to course goals, getting feedback from students, illustrating the organizing concept of the MOOC, the nuts and bolts of the technology in a MOOC environment, and MOOC as a video book.
No registration required.
The FTEP Symposia are designed and provided for our instructional faculty members. Participation in FTEP Workshops and Symposias is open to Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Instructors, Senior Instructors and Scholars-in-Residence, as per your official HR Job Class. If you plan to participate in a symposium conducted by a presenter whose college is different from your own, please be prepared to adapt the recommended teaching tools to the needs of your own discipline.
