BEYOND THE FACEBOOK: EPORTFOLIOS IN HIGHER EDUCATION
Facilitated by Cory Pavicich, Academic Technology Consultant
This seminar will focus on using eportfolios in higher education, both to create portable learning artifacts as well as eportfolio use as an assessment tool. Cory will offer his own experience designing and using eportfolios in both k-12 and at CU-Boulder, discuss the use of eportfolios at other universities, and share information about eportfolio programs on the CU-Boulder campus. Participants should leave with an understanding of various platforms available for constructing eportfolios, current leaders in the use of eportfolios (both at CU and in other universities), and advantages/disadvantages of eportfolios in higher education.
The Technology Enhanced Learning Forums are designed and provided for our instructional faculty members. If you plan to participate in a symposium conducted by a presenter whose college is different from your own, please be prepared to adapt the recommended teaching tools to the needs of your own discipline.
