Akpevwe Ikoba

Akpevwe is a graduate student in Integrative Physiology. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa in Health & Physiology with an emphasis in global health and minor in International Relations. Akpevwe is currently doing aging research in Dr. Seals' Integrative Physiology of Aging laboratory. Here she is working on a clinical trial studying how dietary nitrate supplementation, with beetroot juice, can improve vascular function in patients with Chronic Kidney Disease. 

 

In her spare time when she is not napping you can find her outside, creating new recipes to cook, dancing, or enjoying music with her friends.
