All students who graduate from CU Boulder are issued an official University of Colorado diploma, mailed approximately eight weeks after the semester in which degree requirements are completed and verified. If you didn't enter a diploma address in MyCUInfo, your diploma will be mailed to your home address.
NOTE: The post office does not forward diplomas if your address changes.
Replacement diplomas and display diplomas can be ordered online, by mail or by fax from the Office of the Registrar. Email orders are not accepted. Certified electronic diplomas (CeDiplomas) are also available to students graduating in December 2015 and later.
The name on the replacement or display diploma will be the same name that appeared on the original diploma, unless you've submitted a Student Biodemographical Information Update Form to the Office of the Registrar.
Any financial obligations with a CU campus must be resolved before a paper or electronic diploma can be released. If you have access to MyCUInfo, check the Holds and To-Do Items section for any holds on your account. Once you've cleared your hold, contact the Office of the Registrar to have your diploma sent.
The Office of the Registrar does not reprint a diploma for a post-degree additional major. Diplomas only show the original degree conferral date; therefore, reprinting the document would not reflect the completion date of the post-degree additional major. Beginning with Fall 2016 graduates, the Office of the Registrar will send College of Arts & Sciences students who complete a post-degree additional major a post-degree additional major completion document. Students requesting proof of a post-degree additional major are encouraged to order an official transcript, which will show the accurate completion date of the post-degree major.
All Fall 2017 graduates will be mailed a complimentary diploma on Feb. 27, 2018. Fall 2017 graduates cannot order a replacement or display diploma until after the original diplomas have been processed and mailed.
You may order by mail or fax using a Replacement & Display Diploma Order Form. Send your completed form to the Office of the Registrar, Diploma Orders, 20 UCB, Boulder, CO 80309, or fax it to 303-492-8748.
