Learn how to take your climbing out of the gym and into the mountains. Outdoor Pursuits offers a number of outdoor rock climbing and ice climbing courses to help you improve your skills and find your next adventure.

Outdoor Bouldering

Enjoy bouldering on Flagstaff Mountain while learning basic techniques and risk management skills.

All equipment is included in the course fee. Transportation will be provided.

Requirements:
Participants must be able to hike with a 20lb pack up to two miles on rocky and variable terrains.

Outdoor Climbing

Spend a full day top-rope climbing at a local crag . This course covers the basics of top-rope climbing outdoors, including equipment, techniques and places to go.

All equipment is included in the course fee. Transportation will be provided.

Climbing & Camping

Climb and camp with us at Staunton State Park! Participants will climb outside and spend a night camping under the stars. The course fee includes transportation, food, climbing and camping equipment.

Shelf Road Climbing Shindig

Climb and camp with us at the world-renowned Shelf Road climbing area! Participants will learn to climb outside or strengthen their existing skills and spend the night under the stars! Course fee includes transportation, food, climbing and camping equipment. Participants must able to hike with a 20lb pack up to 2 miles on rocky and variable terrain.
