Powerlifting  

Join one of our Certified Personal Trainers for a 4-week intensive course on proper form and progression of powerlifting movements including squat, deadlift and bench press. Whether it be your first time performing each lift or prepping for a competition this small group training will help fine tune your lifting techniques for maximal strength results. All levels welcome, no experience required.

Strong Start

This 6-week course will cover the fundamentals of strength training, progressive exercise programs and different styles of training. Learn how to use machines and equipment throughout The Rec. Build your confidence to incorporate a wide variety of exercises into your workout routine by developing proper form and strength training techniques. Olympic Weightlifting

During this class, participants will learn how to properly execute the snatch, clean and jerk lifts. This course will focus on full body strength development through squat and overhead progressions and help participants increase their mobility and power. We will cover proper form to complete each lift while improving movement patterns. All levels welcome.

Invigorate your current workout routine by kicking it up to the next level in this 4 week small group training that will get you ready for the upcoming ski season.  Learn proper progression,  form focus and how to incorporate full body movement as you establish an individualized functional training program to enhance your performance on the slopes.  Our training program will ensure continuous progress thru varied and unique exercises that will improve your movement patterns.

Mind & Body Courses

Yoga Basics

This 6-week workshop was created to teach the basics of yoga. It will focus on breath work, postures and alignment. Yoga Basics will provide space for experienced practitioners to deepen their understanding of their work while newcomers will open the door to yoga and all the benefits found in regular practice. Each class will have a similar design, with breath and posture warm-up, followed by 10-15 minutes of workshop-style discussion. Class will wrap up with restorative postures and guided relaxation.

Harness your inner strength with this action-packed training course. Join one of our ACE Certified Personal Trainers for a full body workout that’s both challenging and inspiring. Exercises include tire flips, battle ropes, kettlebells, sandbags and more! The stillness component of this class will help you utilize the feel-good chemicals that are released in the body after completing high intensity exercises through meditation techniques to help you feel relaxed and focused.
