Beyond a given point man is not helped by more “knowing,” but only by living and doing in a partly self-forgetful way. As Goethe put it, we must plunge into experience and then reflect on the meaning of it. All reflection and no plunging drives us mad; all plunging and no reflection, and we are brutes. - Ernest Becker

Training Philosophy

Having worked as an EMT in diverse medical settings, I’ve seen a common theme: many complications could be avoided with healthier choices made today—though they require effort and discipline. My goal is to support and inspire others to make those choices now, building strength and resilience for the future.

I personally found physical activity to be a great anxiolytic and a method for keeping me grounded when I feel stressed, sad or angry. I enjoy weight training, but I recognize the importance of flexibility and cardiovascular health as well. I can work well with clients entirely new to physical training, as I was once that person. I also have a solid foundation of knowledge pertaining to compound lifts and proper resistance training form for people who have some experience but could use some guidance.
