An IDE Emphasis gives you the opportunity to explore your engineering passion and establish a disciplinary engineering foundation.

Emphases are between 22 and 28 credit hours. Each emphasis is paired with some required engineering core courses which differ from other emphases. 

Aerospace Engineering

Design, test and operate complex aerospace and related systems.

 

Architectural Engineering

Design the systems in buildings and guide urban development.

 

Civil Engineering

Design a wide variety of infrastructure projects including roads, waterways and buildings.

Electrical Engineering

Design and test new electronic devices and systems.

 

Environmental Engineering

Design solutions to pollution and other environmental problems.

Mechanical Engineering

Design and build mechanical systems.
