The CU Teach program is one of the first 13 teacher education programs in the U.S. awarded a grant by the National Math and Science Initiative.

Community Support

  • Small classes: fewer than 25 students in a cohort of other CU Teach students
  • Support and mentoring by master teachers as you join scholars dedicated to understanding, addressing and overcoming barriers to broader participation in math and science education.

Financial Support

Become eligible for the CU Teach Engineering Bechtel Scholarships, paid internships and potential loan forgiveness.

Practical Experience

  • Many in-classroom teaching opportunities as students gear up to student-teach their last semester.
  • The CU Teach Engineering Concentration culminates in a semester-long teaching opportunity or paid year-long apprenticeship at a high performing DSST (Denver School of Science and Technology) Public School.

Employment

  • 100% of CU Teach Engineering graduates seeking secondary teaching work are employed in teaching positions.
  • Earn an ABET-accredited B.S. undergraduate engineering degree
