Solomon Desta

I’m a seasoned Electrical Engineer with over 17 years of experience in Electronics and Communication, having served in key technical roles within the federal government. Over time, my exposure to evolving digital infrastructure sparked a deep interest in Data Science, ultimately guiding me to pursue a Master of Science in the field.

Currently, I’m enrolled in the MS in Data Science program at the University of Colorado Boulder, where I’m focused on core subjects such as data mining, machine learning, statistical modeling, and software architecture for big data. Through my coursework, I’ve been developing a strong foundation in statistical inference, and modern regression techniques, while applying these skills to real-world data science projects. My recent leadership and management roles have further shaped my perspective, reinforcing my commitment to driving innovation through data-driven strategies.
