2026 summer field courses for undergrad students
The University of Colorado Mountain Research Station is offering six unique field courses this summer for undergraduate students from any institution.
- Natural History of the Southern Rockies (art + science)
- Field Ornithology
- Flora of the Mountains
- Feeding Ecology of Animals
- Lake and Stream Ecology
- Forest and Fire Ecology
Field courses span a range of topics and emphasize learning through experiential work in a natural setting. Course cost includes three credits in addition to room and board at the historic Mountain Research Station, located 40 minutes west of Boulder, Colorado at 2,900 m (9,500 ft) in the subalpine forests of the Southern Rocky Mountains.
Class sizes are limited to 15 people.
Classes will show in the CU Boulder registration portal February 20th and enrollment starts March 10th.
