As the new academic year approaches, students at CU Boulder elected new officers for the ASHRAE CU Boulder Student Branch. According to the votes, PhD students, Saranya Anbarasu, Cary Faulkner and Nasim Mamaghani will serve as President, Vice-President, and Secretary/Treasurer, respectively, in academic year 2021-22.
Prior to this, other lab member and PhD student, Chengnan Shi, served in the branch as President and Saranya Anbarasu was in charge as Secretary.
The ASHRAE student organization provides students interested in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration (HVAC&R) industry an opportunity to expand their knowledge beyond the classroom environment. The chapter coordinates several events each semester including industry speakers/presentations, innovative academic research webinars, site tours, and social events.
