Nasim
Ph.D. Student
Department of Civil Environmental and Architectural Engineering

Nasim is a graduate research assistant at the Sustainable Buildings and Societies Laboratory at the University of Colorado Boulder where she pursues her Ph.D. degree in Architectural Engineering. She is currently working on HVAC system modeling and control and is conducting data analysis on human-building interaction studies. Nasim obtained her M.S. degree in Energy Engineering from Politecnico di Milano, Italy, with a concentration in power production from renewables. She holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey, and has professional experience in commercial aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul industry. She is the patent holder for a novel Nano-Polymeric Thermo-Smart Layer design which was recognized at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva, Switzerland, where she won the bronze medal of invention.

Research Interests

Building energy system modeling and control, human-building interactions, energy domain data analysis, and clean power generation.
