Cancellation policy

Appointments must be canceled by 5 p.m. the business day before your appointment to avoid the late cancellation fee. Appointments can be canceled online at MyCUHealth or by calling 303- 492-5432 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.

Late cancellations or missed appointments

  • Primary Care and Sexual and Productive Health: Late cancellations and missed appointments will result in a $30 charge.
  • Physical Therapy: A late cancellation or missed appointment for an initial physical therapy visit is a $60 charge. For other types of visits, late cancellations and missed appointments will result in a $30 charge.

Telehealth Visits

Medical Services offers telehealth visits for some medical conditions. Patients can schedule in-person or telehealth appointments.

Insurance Information

All students can access Medical Services regardless of health insurance coverage. See more information about the Anthem Gold Student Health Insurance Plan (SHIP), the BuffCare Program and private insurance billing through the student health insurance website.

Billing and payments

Health and Wellness Services will bill eligible services through your insurance carrier (private or Anthem Gold Student Health Insurance Plan). Students are responsible for applicable co-pays, co-insurance, deductibles and any non-covered services (including those not covered by the BuffCare Program. Please bring your insurance card and policyholder information (name, address and date of birth) to your appointment to set up insurance billing. Late payments

If the payment deadline is not met, the student's remaining balance will be transferred to the Bursar’s Office with a late fee or will be turned over to collections for non-enrolled students.

Please review and update your contact information when checking in for your next appointment to ensure your bill goes to the correct address.

Health & Wellness Eligibility

Currently, Health & Wellness only sees CU students. In order to be seen at Health & Wellness, students must meet one of the following eligibility requirements:

  • All students must have paid the Mental Health and Student Health fees
  • Undergraduate Students must be enrolled in six or more credit hours
  • Graduate Students must be enrolled in one or more credit hours
    • Some Grad Student categories do not have to pay fees to be seen
      • Please contact the bursar or your advisor for questions regarding Grad Student fees

Other student categories:

  • Degree Seeking Continuing Education: Please contact Continuing Education for questions about eligibility and fees at 303-492-2212 or email cebursar@colorado.edu
  • Non-Degree Seeking Continuing Education, Study Abroad/Semester at Sea, and Evening MBA students who are enrolled in six or more credit hours and pay base student and health fees may be eligible to be seen. Please contact the Student Health Insurance team for more information.
  • Approved Leave of Absence Program students are eligible to enroll in the University of Boulder Colorado Anthem Gold SHIP or BuffCare insurance plans for one semester they are not registered for classes. Please contact the Student Health Insurance team for more information.

Medical Services offers limited services to faculty and staff including acupuncture, massage and COVID testing & vaccines. Please contact 303-492-5101 for more information
