The mission of the Student Health Advisory Board (SHAB) is to provide student input into the operations of Medical Services in order to represent students and positively influence campus health. We are dedicated to implementing programs that improve student health, both on and off campus!
What We Do:
Aside from aiming to bridge the gap between student and health care provider, we hold an annual fundraiser called the Fun Run during CU's Family Weekend. This fundraiser helps raise money for our Medical Expense Assistance Fund (MEAF) which helps fee-paying students pay challenging and expensive medical bills.
The Health Board meets weekly during the semester at Wardenburg Health Center. Meetings are open to the public, but attendance may require you to sign a confidentiality agreement. For specific days and times please contact us by email.
We are looking for service-oriented, insightful, open-minded and collaborative students to join our team. Any fee-paying student, graduate or undergraduate regardless of major, may become a member of the Student Health Advisory Board. Applications are accepted at the beginning of each semester and if there are vacant positions on the board.
We are not currently accepting applications.
