The Student Health Board aims to be the collective student voice for implementing solutions in health and wellness initiatives on campus. We function as a student body to implement programs that improve student health, both on and off campus! We also aid in directing students to and providing information on the Medical Expense Assistance Fund (MEAF). The fund is designed to help students (both graduate and undergraduate) pay for outstanding medical expenses.
What We Do:
We work collaboratively with the Health and Wellness Services team to identify initiatives that promote a healthy university community and promote student engagement and learning.
The Student Health Board meets every other Monday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. during the semester. Our meetings are virtual at this time. Meetings are open to the public, but attendance may require you to sign a confidentiality agreement. For specific days and times please contact us by email.
We are looking for service-oriented, insightful, open-minded and collaborative students to join our team. Any fee-paying student, graduate or undergraduate regardless of major, may become a member of the Student Health Board. Applications are accepted throughout the Fall/Spring semester, and will be reviewed at the second to last semester meeting of the Student Health Board. Applicants will receive an acceptance or denial within a week of review by the Board.
