Getting around campus and Boulder
No matter how you choose to get around campus, here are some tips to make your way safer and more efficient.
Buff Bus
The Buff Bus is one of the quickest and easiest ways for students to get around campus. These campus shuttles connect students living in Williams Village and Bear Creek to central campus. The Buff Buses operate through the fall and spring semesters when classes are in session. Students can download the Transit app or check the Buff Bus website for routes and schedules.
Bicycle
The CU Boulder Bicycle Program allows students to rent gently used but newly tuned bikes (while supplies last) on a semester basis. Campus bike stations also provide no-cost maintenance and can help with repairs for registered bikes.
If you plan to bike around campus, here are a few things to know:
- Bike registration is required and can be completed online or at campus bike stations. It's easy, fast and free! Registering assists in recovering and returning stolen bikes.
- Bike racks are located throughout campus, with covered bike parking at select locations. Remember to lock your bike to a bike rack and not ADA rails, stair rails, trees, etc.
- Use a U-lock to deter theft, wear a helmet and install front and rear lights on your bike. Learn more about Boulder city bike laws and regulations.
