The Multi-State Salinity Coalition (MSSC) Future Industry Leaders Scholarship Program is now offering a $2500 scholarship that will be due Friday December 31, 2019. The scholarship is awarded to the student based on the overall evaluation of a 500-word essay about career objectives, transcript(s), a letter of recommendation, and leadership in extracurricular activities related to water resources. Each applicant must be a full-time undergraduate or graduate student in water resources related degree program. Students must be enrolled in a program relating to water resources for the 2019-2020 academic year.
In addition to the $2,500 scholarship the recipient will also recieve:
- $1200 Cash Award to Student Scholarship Winner
- 2 nights lodging for winning student & professor (Tuscany) ($300)
- Complimentary registration for winning student & professor (500)
- Travel allowance for winning student & professor ($250 each)
Application must include:
- Application title page that includes the applicant's full name, permanent mailing address, email address, phone number where he or she may be easily reached, and the type of scholarship (undergraduate or graduate). (1 page)
- Two-page summary (approx. 500 words) of his/her academic interests and achievements, extracurricular interests, and career goals as they relate to their field of study.
- Resume (1 page)
- One signed letter of reference from professor and/or advisor. Letter of reference MUST include the signatures of the professor. (1 page)
- Transcripts of all college courses (undergraduate and graduate). Legible copies of "Issued to Student" transcripts are acceptable. Documents must establish he/she is currently active in higher education or in an internship in water resources or related fields.
