The Bureau of Land Management is currently looking to fill an internship position that will serve as a Graphic Information Specialist (GIS) Intern, duty stationed at the Colorado State Office starting in December 2018. In coordination with the BLM State Office GIS Specialist, the intern will provide operational support for GIS projects within the State Office and generate/maintain geospatial date and evaluate it for spatial accuracy and source data consistency. The intern will serve with a diverse group of resource specialists, planners, and managers.

The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to use the current suite of ESRI GIS software, extensions, ability to develop and analyze spatial information with GIS. Have practical knowledge of appropriate geodatabase design principles. Have knowledge of geographic projections, datum’s, and geospatial data.

The preferred start date for this internship is December 3, 2018.
