Sharpen your research, close reading, critical thinking, and communication skills in a professional environment. Explore different career possibilities while still working on your English major.

Apply for one of 20 internships available to junior and senior English majors with a GPA of 2.5 or higher for 3 academic credits. Internships are competitive and reward qualified, self-motivated students.

Each intern is expected to identify a faculty sponsor; if you are unable to do so, please contact Rachael Simonettta for assistance.

Registration

  1. Read the list of available internships and complete an internship application. Applications to participate in the English Internship program in Spring 2022 are due Friday, October 22, 2021 at 5:00 pm MST.
  2. Mark your calendar to schedule an appointment during the week of November 8-12. Prior to being accepted to the internship course, applicants are required to meet and discuss interests and career goals with program director Rachael Deagman Simonetta.

The department also allows students to solicit their own internships (and partnering sites).
