A friendly reminder that university staff & classified staff employee performance reviews and hybrid work agreement forms are due Friday, Aug. 11 to ceashr@colorado.edu. Paid leave is an important feature of CU’s employee benefits. To ensure that vacation and sick leave balances are accurate, the University of Colorado asks employees to verify the accuracy of their sick and vacation leave after the close of the fiscal year.

Open Annual Leave Certification

1. Log into your employee portal.
2. Select the CU Resources area. (CU System employees will skip this step.)
3. Open the CU Resources Home drop-down menu at the top, then select My Info and Pay.
4. Click the Annual Leave Certification tile.

Requests may be submitted at any time. Staff members should discuss the request and cost-share with their supervisors before applying; procedures may vary across units.

For full consideration, requests should be submitted at least two weeks before the professional development registration deadline or payment due date. Requests for funds are approved on a first-come, first-served basis per fiscal year (July 1-June 30).

Meet Dr. Peter Huang and learn about his book, Disrupting Racism, hosted by the Ombuds Office. Can racism's devastating impact on individuals, communities, and societies be prevented? In Disrupting Racism, Dr. Huang offers a uniquely holistic approach to anti-racism efforts that draws from his personal experiences as an Asian American, and from his extensive scholarly work in mathematical economics, law, and education. “Wilderness First Aid” is the title of a new suite of courses on Coursera created by the Wilderness Medicine Division of the Emergency Medicine Department at CU Anschutz. These courses, known on Coursera as a specialization, are available to all CU faculty, staff and students through CU on Coursera.
