Kathryn Tobey has over 34-years of experience supporting critical national security space missions. Throughout her career, Ms. Tobey has held leadership positions in functional organizations and program management for Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company. She has deep experience in the production of space hardware and software, business development including strategic planning, investments and business case analysis, technology maturation for rapid insertion, business acumen with respect to industrial base and supplier competitions, large scale program management and system of systems engineering. 

Ms. Tobey graduated from the University of Colorado, Boulder with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering, and a Master of Engineering degree in Engineering Management. She is the proud recipient of the 2015 Distinguished Engineering Alumna Award and a 2016 Norlin Award winner. 

Ms. Tobey serves on the CU Boulder Engineering Dean’s Advisory Committee and was past chair of the Advisory Board for BOLD Center (Broadening Opportunities for Leadership Diversity), the inclusive excellence program for the CU College of Engineering.  Ms. Tobey served on the LM CEO Executive Inclusion Council and is also a trustee for the Women’s Foundation of Colorado.
